Happy Easter everyone! Today was an amazing day: service was awesome, the testimonies were blessing, and weather beautiful.
So I had a pretty wonderful day until a couple hours ago when I had an encounter with what I'll call "ignorance." (Although I have much harsher words I could use to describe this encounter.)
Here's what happened: I was walking down Locust Walk with a friend when a group of four guys sitting along the walk began jeering at us, "Look at these guys. What do you think they are, Chinese?" I heard this comment and decided to just keep walking. Then they began screaming out, "Ni Hao! Ni Hao!" At that moment, I became REALLY angered. Not many people on this earth have seen me angry, but at that moment I was IRATE. Just short of turning to the guys and berating them for their racist remarks. I also thoroughly considered mocking them and cursing at them in Chinese (side note: I'm Korean).
But then I remembered... today is Easter.
I thought to myself, "Surely if Jesus was able to forgive me for my terrible transgressions throughout my life to the point of dying on the cross, I should be able to love and forgive these ignorant guys."
Today I'm really thankful for being reminded of the meaning of love.

Similar thing hpapened to me. I was walking late at night and some guy, not sure if he was a skin head or not, but he looked like one, came up behind me and kicked me repeatedly in the leg tearing my skin with his boots then cussed at me
